A Night at the Beach Recap
Thanks to all who came to participate in a “cool” evening on the St. James Beach on Oak Island on Tuesday, April 20th. A nice fire pit warmed those who were a bit chilled! The added ambiance of Tiki torches was nice, but unfortunately too windy to light the sky! Music was in the air, along with lots of conversations, laughter and, of course, beverages!
Cindy and George Arndt, along with their committee, did a fantastic job of keeping everyone involved, especially the Limbo pole! The winners of a bottle of Basil Hayden Bourbon were Marcia Leeds and Susan Harman who made it under the pole with inches to spare! We had about 70 members come to the beach with chairs, food, and drinks to enjoy the evening by the sea! Thanks to all who participated in this fun event! The hours were from 4 to 7 PM and many stayed to the last minute! Always a fun time with our Southport Sailing and Boat club members!
